What does the Marc Jacobs Youthquake Moisturizer do?
Well to start off, the full name of the moisturizer is the Youthquake Hydra-full Retexturizing Gel Crème Moisturizer. That alone is a mouth full so for the sake of this post, we shall refer to it as the “Youthquake moisturizer”. So the product is supposed to help with retexturizing and replenishing your skin with moisture with all of its hydrating properties.
This product claims to work for all skin types and address the following concerns: Dryness, Dullness and Uneven Texture, and Fine Lines and Wrinkles.
The secret ingredient in this moisturizer that sets it apart happens to come from pineapple enzymes. I’ve never had pineapple in any of my other skincare products so this was a first!
First impressions of the Youthquake Moisturizer
The product is a nice bright yellow and doesn’t have a strong scent. I really like the gel texture of the product because it is a smooth consistency. There isn’t a strong scent to the product, which I personally really appreciate.
My favorite thing about the product is how it feels when you apply it. It is cool and refreshing, but very light and does not feel thick or greasy. My skin felt smooth and hydrated after the first application. You also don’t need a ton of product to use on your face to get the full impact.
Overall Review
I’m honestly pretty surprised by this product because I can have sensitive skin at times and this did not seem to break me out. My skin continues to be smooth and hydrated. I didn’t expect to see a ton of change in my skin so I’m glad that I have seen positive results. I finished the .5 oz sample jar! So the real question is would I actually go and buy it with my own money…
And the answer to that is….Not likely! Don’t get me wrong, I have enjoyed the product but the price point of $59 for 1.7oz is kind of high. There are other products that I think I could get more bang for my buck. If I wanted to splurge and treat myself I would consider it! But it likely won’t make it back into my daily routine. I had good results, but they weren’t life changing enough to justify that price tag for me personally. I’m glad I had the opportunity through Influenster to try it!
