If you’re like me, then Mother’s day came in the blink of an eye! Fortunately this year, I actually got my mom’s gift in April when I went home. Also, fortunately for me, my mom is usually very specific when I ask about gift ideas. But if you’re stuck trying to come up with a quality gift idea that is also affordable, I got you! These last minute gift ideas for mom will save the day!

Gift of Experience
This has been my favorite gift option this year, for birthdays too. This year I’m actually taking my mom to a comedy show she really wants to see. But other fun options mom might like are a cooking class (Sur La Table has really fun ones!), Wine and Design, Spa Pamper day with massages, or a Mani/Pedi session. If your mom likes wine, a nice winery tour and tasting could also be nice!
Customized Jewelry
Maybe your mom has a favorite inspiring scripture or quote that she likes. There are really cute bracelets or necklaces where you can get these stamped on. Etsy has cute options for bangles here. One of my favorite bracelets has “Count it all joy” (James 1:2) as a daily reminder. If you have siblings, you could possibly get mom a bracelet or necklace with each of your initials on it. These custom handwritten bracelets are also really nice!
Beauty or Skin Care goodies for pampering
If mom likes to stay youthful, put her on to good quality skincare! She likely already has her staple beauty and skincare products but if you’ve found something that you know she would like and maybe wouldn’t buy herself then this is a good opportunity to introduce her to something new.
Facemasks seem to be all the rage these days. You can literally find a good face mask for any kind of skin issue you may have. I recently saw at Target you can get a kit of 5 facemasks for only $7! If you’re looking for higher end facemask kit, this Peter Thomas Roth Sampler Kit has a lot of options for only $25.
A nice makeup palette
Again, mom might not be the first to buy a nice eyeshadow palette or face palette. If you want more makeup suggestions you can see my post on my favorite Anastasia Beverly Hills Products here. One palette I think is beautiful and functional is this palette the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette.
Cosmetics travel bags for either purse or general
If mom already has all the beauty goodies, you can get her either a new travel cosmetics case where she can keep everything (makeup, brushes, and skincare) all in one bag. A couple of options that I really like are here, here and here. If she doesn’t need a full travel makeup bag, these little smaller ones here, and here from Target are nice to keep her purse organized.
A nice perfume
A new scent is always appreciated! A few that I like are Gucci Guilty, Coco Chanel Madame Moiselle, Jimmy Choo.
Nice Chocolates
Chocolate is always a good idea. Always. Godiva is always delicious or even if there is a local candy shop where you can personalize the assortment.
A tech gift
Find out what kind of gadget could help make mom’s life easier. Maybe headphones would be a nice touch either Bluetooth headphones like these or airpods. A portable charger is also a very useful gift as well that she can fit in her purse. A good one she might benefit from is this one from Amazon.
A cookbook + stand
A friend actually got this for me one year for my birthday and I thought it was such a cute idea! And if you are really in a time crunch, you can get all of these last minute gifts from Amazon! A few good cookbook choices are Cravings, The Seasoned Life, and Thug Kitchen. Amazon also has cookbook stands like this metal one or even a wood one like this.
A robe
I love a good robe! It’s perfect for when you get out of the shower but don’t want to get fully dressed yet. Depending on if you think she would appreciate a fuzzy one like this or a silk one like this, you can pick one to match her style.
A book for the soul
For the busy mom that wants to get in a morning devotional in a short amount of time, this Confident Woman’s Devotional would be the perfect devotional. Or if she’s into making lists, you can get her a gratitude journal like this or the 52 Lists of Happiness book. These books are beautiful and relaxing to complete! I also have a list of motivational books here.
Which of these last minute gift ideas for mom is your favorite? If you need any suggestions for Dad, I have a gift guide for that him here!
