Happy Friday! It is my favorite time of the week to share my quick Friday Five recap of this past week and upcoming weekend. Enjoy 🙂
Who doesn’t love a long weekend?
I went home last weekend for a fairly quick trip to take care of some wedding things! We left at around 5am on Friday which was a struggle to wake up at 4:30 am. I have so much respect for people with children who are able to get themselves and the kids out the door in a timely manor. Even though Kaptain is a dog, he still needs to be taken outside and at least given some water (he eats breakfast at 8:30 am) before we hop on the road. Once we made it to NC the time flew by as we were busy checking off our to-do list!
Two Trips to Baltimore
If you’ve been reading for a little while now, you probably already know that I mostly work from home for my corporate 9-5 Job. Occasionally, I have to make a trip to main office in DC but this week I had to visit our client in Baltimore, MD. I already planned on making a trip to the Baltimore for this upcoming weekend for a brunch date with a friend. I thought it was interesting that the one time I have to go to Baltimore for work, I already had plans to go there later in the week!
Tidying up my Life
I’ve only watched one episode of the Marie Kondo Tidying up show on Netflix and it inspired me to get rid of some things! A few weeks ago I started a giveaway pile but I decided go back and add to it after watching. I’ve been trying to move towards a more minimalist life anyways so this was just the extra spark I needed! I realize some things I hold onto because of “what if” scenarios and then I end up never wearing them again.
It is always fun going through your closet and asking yourself “Why did I buy this?!” Now when I shop I will make sure that I don’t buy something if I don’t love it!
Finally catching up on This is Us
This is Us is one of my favorite shows! We don’t have cable so we catch everything on Hulu or Netflix and I had fallen pretty far behind. I am glad that I had the chance to get back watching this show because so much has happened! Each season takes you on a full emotional rollercoaster and I love how they show different family dynamics. What shows have you been loving lately?
Next Week is February…
And just like that, we are near the end of January! This is my last Friday Five in the month of January which is crazy. I honestly feel like I was just home for Christmas and now it is going to be February next Friday. I am looking forward to so much this year and February is always my favorite month because of my Birthday, Galentine’s day and Valentines Day. This year my best friend is having her first child next month so I am even more excited!
I hope you enjoyed this quick catch up! Leave a comment or head over to my instagram here to let me know how your week went or what you have planned for the weekend!
